Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, with isolated rain and wind-thunderstorm in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara and Mardan Divisions, besides Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from August 25. In the last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in the most parts of country. However, rain and wind-thunderstorm occurred at one or two places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara and Makran Divisions.
Lahore Airport received the maximum rainfall as 63 mm. Sibbi was the hottest place in the country with a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, Noorpurthal 42, Bhakkar, Nokkundi, Sukkur, Joharabad, Dadu and Dalbandin 41, each. "Seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Weak moist currents are penetrating upper parts of the country," the Met said.
